Who we are

My family heritage is nestled in Budapest, Hungary; with both parents Presbyterian ministers. Growing up as a pastor’s kid (PK) was difficult as a child. Later, visiting my great aunt when she was 91 in Hungary and my great uncle in Jerusalem caused me to appreciate my heritage and discovering my Jewish roots that were hidden for years . My father was allowed by the Germans to come and go in Hungary because he was converted from Judaism and became a pastor, though he wore a white patch. He forged baptismal records and hid third Jews in his basement and later made his way to America. Growing up, this painting (over 100 years old) was mesmerizing for me. I was always fascinated by Christ’s great love for broken people and His redeeming love, making us whole, with the greatest gift of eternal life for all who believe in Him.
